Chozoglou Vera 2018 Audiovisual Short film

(installation of 2 projections, objects, mirror) The five-year-old girl is placed next to the globe of her childhood dream, which, rotating, transmits the sense of the urban landscape to the different levels of representation within the exhibition space. This is an experiential work, a sketch of the artist’s view of the world. In the work, she elaborates the feeling and insight she had about the world in her childhood, while at the same time capturing the adult critical view of the world. While the child’s digital effigy is placed at a critical distance from the globe, it nevertheless explores the relationship between the Earth and the mundane. And if the water sphere stands as a metonym for the Mother, then this is also the metaphor used by the visual artist to talk about the creator’s relationship with the cosmic event.
